1 1/2 cups flour 1 cup sugar, divided
1/2 cup butter, cut into chunks
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 egg 2 teaspoons vanilla, divided
3 cups blackberries
2 cups sour cream
2 egg yolks

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour a 9 or 10-inch spring form pan.

Combine flour, 1/2 cup sugar, butter, baking powder, whole egg and teaspoon ofvanilla and mix well. Spread mixture into pan. Sprinkle with berries.

Combine sour cream, egg yolks, remaining 1/2 cup sugar and remaining teaspoon of vanilla. Spread over berries. Bake one hour.

A simple and delicious cake. The top is almost like a cheesecake. Consider serving it with whipped cream and fresh blackberries.
