makes about 5 dozen cookies (depending on size)
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (12 ounces)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Cream together butter, sugars, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs, mixing well; then add flour mixture. Add chocolate chips. Mix well and drop by rounded teaspoon (larger or smaller, your choice) onto a greased or parchment-lined cookie sheet. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool on cookie sheets for few minutes.
There are so many different chocolate chip recipes, but this one is always a winner. And you could add 1 1/2 cups of chopped pecans or sunflower seeds.
